2. Lakeway Resort & Spa

Romance is in the air, resort style! Let’s be honest - it’s less stressful to have everything in one spot so Aunt Linda can get too drunk and just head to her room after the wedding.

Host your ceremony and reception here, because it is literally one of the most gorgeous spots on the entire lake, and every single photo is going to turn out beautifully. They’ve tended to the details, down to the very plants along the bluffs and the renowned cuisine.

Their outdoor venue is world famous (you’ll recognize it from bridal magazines you’ve already perused), and their indoor venue has floor-to-ceiling picture windows, able to host several hundred of your closest friends and family members. 

4. On a Luxury Boat on the Water

The best views of Lake Travis are from the water, and we have the only luxury fleet on the water, the Rolls Royces of boats (seriously), so whether you want to reserve one for close family for a farewell brunch, or the entire fleet for the most creative wedding ever, we’re here for you.

We absolutely love this stunner, nestled into what they call "a 10-acre sanctuary, surrounded by nature preserves," and they specialize in multi-day packages and lodging. They have a reputation for being cool and collected, and for creative ideas.

6. Hudson Bend Ranch

Hudson Bend Ranch might be one of the most relaxing spots we've ever seen, and friends of ours have said that the staff feels more like a luxury retreat team than a stressed out wedding venue team.

If you’re thinking of an outdoor wedding and reception, this place feels so lavish yet so very private and calming. There are several options for spaces to use, and their sunrise casita is so sweet. Can we just live here please!? 

7. Bella Oaks (formerly Antebellum Oaks Venue)

Have you ever wanted to get married in a lush British garden, where the outdoors are married quaintly to the indoors, yet it somehow all feels so perfectly Texan? Bella Oaks is the place.

They too offer several spaces that can be combined or separated for a full service wedding experience, from their nearly 5,000 sf ballroom to the Chapel Lawn complete with rose bushes.

It’s a newer venue, so we love that everything has a modern posh feel, and you’ll never be plagued with a settee from 1970 that’s hideous and had too many butts on it. 

8. The Terrace at Highland Lakes

One of the most stunning event spaces on the Colorado River is The Terrace at Highland Lakes where you’ll feel like you’re on the top of the most photogenic cliff in the history of the Hill Country. No exaggeration.

Everything here feels luxurious, from the padded ballroom chairs to the oversized limestone fireplace, hell, even the railings in the stairwell look fantastic.

Also a newer venue, this gorgeous option will impress your entire family and even your slightly-mean college roommate frenemy who owns a plastic surgery center now. Invite her if you host it here. 

9. Blissful Hill

If Instagram could come to life and be a wedding venue, it would be Blissful Hill. This used to be Willie Nelson’s property, and is now a 20-acre gem on the Pedernales River.

There is river access, a boat launch, docking, and a fishing pier which can be fun for some guests, but obviously, more importantly, it makes for unique photography backdrops. The indoor event space has gorgeous chandeliers, yet wood beams - you have to see it to understand, it’s just gorgeous.
